Learning Opportunities

Every child who spends time at a While We Grow location can take part in our age-appropriate learning experiences such as:

Art

Drawing and painting are a critical part of education at all ages, helping our youngest children with building fine motor skills, and letting our older ones begin to explore fun forms of creative expression.

Sensory

Opportunities that engage the senses let children better perceive, relate to, understand, and appreciate everything going on around them.

Science

Part of growing is developing a better understanding of the world around us, and our science programming helps inspire an interest in how the physical world works through fun educational experiments and hands-on demonstration. This can spark an interest in science that children carry with them for a lifetime.

Literacy

Reading regularly is important for mental engagement. We aim to help children build their reading ability and develop a joy and appreciation for all the amazing things you can find inside a book.
